The Art of Assemblage: Laurel Wiker
As a self taught artist, Laurel Wiker mixes salvaged architectural artifacts, colorful vintage glass and natural elements to create pieces that have an enduring appeal. Her art is often a collage of found objects intertwined with classic or esoteric art prints and framed by a vintage window of hand blown glass. Laurel’s pieces may invoke the memory of a musty attic full of treasures, or perhaps the earthy fragrance of a favorite hiking trail enveloped by a thicket of mountain laurel . She is masterful at reinventing the ordinary.
With over 60 pieces in stock, Laurel's art is sold exclusively at Mountain Lights in Asheville, NC.
